The Painkillers don't
like to be quickly categorized so when you hear the us, you will
quickly know that they are primarily influenced by guitar-driven music
and songs with a strong rhythmic beat. For this reason, you will hear
the stylings of Eric Clapton, Dick Dale, and Jonny Lang. Interspersed
with that is a group of fun, dancing
tunes influenced by Chuck Berry, the Rolling Stones, War, Warren Zevon
and Van Morrison. To round out things, a tribute to the roots of rock
and roll include songs from the sixties by groups like the Yardbirds,
Buffalo Springfield, Elvis, Steppenwolf and the Beatles. Once and a
while old friends like Wilson Pickett and Bob Dylan will make a musical
visit.
